Send a buying brief before the appointment
A short brief saves time in the showroom. Include the market where you sell, customer ages, categories, target unit range, preferred colours and the number of series you expect to buy. Add any hard limits, such as avoiding occasionwear or needing only winter stock.
Share the brief early enough for the sales advisor to identify relevant collections. A phrase such as 'girls, ages 4-10' is more useful when it also states whether the shop needs daily sets, formal dresses or both.
Keep one record for every model
Showrooms often carry many visually similar styles. For each candidate, record the brand, product code, colours, exact size run, pieces in the series and series price. Photograph the code with the garment if photography is permitted. A folder of unlabelled product photographs becomes difficult to use within a few hours.
Market of Kids product URLs can serve as the reference for catalogued items. When a model is shown offline, ask the advisor which code should appear in the order summary.
Leave freight questions until the order has shape
Shipping estimates depend on the cartons, destination and service. First determine the likely piece count and product mix. Then ask what is included in packing, which documents can be supplied, how the cartons will be measured and when collection can take place.
Import duties and local clearance rules belong to the destination country. Ask a customs broker for those costs rather than relying on a generic estimate from a clothing supplier.
Why the area is organised around wholesale trade
A 2014 study of pedestrianisation in Istanbul's Historic Peninsula described textile businesses as a main part of commercial activity in Alt Laleli. In its survey, 73 percent of respondents in that sub-region were wholesalers. The figure is historical and should not be read as a current census; it does explain why buying, consolidation and freight remain recurring parts of the district's commercial life.
The same study recorded mixed views about access and loading after pedestrianisation. Practical conditions can change by street and time of day, so confirm the showroom address and arrival plan shortly before the visit.
Market of Kids lists its showroom at Nişanca Bostanı Sokak No:47/1, Fatih. Use the Google Maps link on the company page for the current pin and contact the advisor if the building number shown by a third-party directory differs.
